EXPORTS-- 80% of Cdn exports go to U.S.-- vulnerable

From 1971 when the Bretton Woods fixed exchange rate system was destroyed by Nixon and Schultz, Canada has not seen any progress in its ability to increase its number of customers in the world. Neither has it succeeded in exporting more advanced production-- rather than raw materials. Today, 80% of Canada's exports go to the U.S. This puts Canada in an extremely vulnerable position.
